Today, my sister and I went trespassin’. Well, the point of our outing was not to break laws, but instead to have fun and take some pictures. And spend some quality time together. Wouldn’t our momma be proud?
We went out to the north side of town where there used to be coal mines. All it is now is rolling hills, the occasional lake and some dirt roads. You should have seen us, though. Every time a car would approach, we’d freeze. Look at each other. Then sigh a sigh of relief when they drove on by. We weren’t doing anything bad, per se, but you see, I’m kind of a chicken when it comes to getting in trouble and confrontation. I get all nervous and break into sweats. It isn’t pretty!
But what is pretty? My little sister. We had so much fun taking these, even if we did have to walk through mud and get rained on to get them. And my sister, who is a momma herself, said she wanted to take photos like these so her little girl can look at them one day and say, “Wow, mom sure was fun!” (I don’t think there’s any question about that, Ash.)
And a side note, my sister just got her hair cut short yesterday. There’s no denying now that she’s my mother’s daughter. It was so strange to edit these because I felt like I was looking at my mom, but yet I was looking at my sister, too.
Have a great week, everyone!
