If I Could Get Married All Over Again | Part 1

If I could get married all over again…the only thing that would remain the same is I’d marry the same guy.:)

I was only 22 when Tyler and I took our vows. Fresh out of college, too…in fact, Tyler and I were married two weeks to the day after I received my diploma from Indiana State University. I was naive to the world of creative, detailed weddings. I had no idea that rules were meant to be broken, especially when it came to wedding traditions. When planning our big day, I had no idea all of the fun possibilities there were. And to be honest, I had no idea what kind of bride I wanted be – or even could be.

Another factor was money. We had none. We had just purchased and remodeled a home. Tyler was our only source of income. And I was a new college grad searching for employment. Needless to say, we were on a budget. A very small budget.

But now I do a lot of perusing of wedding-related blogs, and it got me to thinking about all the things I’d do differently if I could do it over again and money was not a factor.

Ah, the dress. My dress was pretty, don’t get me wrong. It was your ordinary white, strapless dress with some detailed beading and a big poofy skirt. But now, I’d do something so much more fashionable and unique. Something like these next few dresses.

Dresses: Essense of Australia, KittyChen Couture, and Galina (exclusively at David’s Bridal)

Aren’t they beautiful? I think my favorite is the third dress, the one with one shoulder and silver detailing from KittyChen Couture (whose dresses are TO DIE FOR!).

Next week, I’ll show you WHERE I would have chosen to get married instead of a church.
